Zero Carbon Buildings
Buildings are responsible for about 40% of all carbon emissions. However, a new type of building, called a passive house, can in theory reduce this number to approximately zero.
So what is necessary for large-scale adoption of passive house technology? What would cause it to replace conventional construction as the standard method of construction? What are the barriers?
We’ve identified those barriers and are currently developing programs designed to increase the demand for zero carbon homes, which not only reduce energy use but also improve the quality of life for those with respiratory conditions.
